It is a 4×4 tour along the Coast of Argentino Lake, offering a paleontological approach to rediscover the stories of the first expeditions and adventurers who came to these unknown lands.
Among the cliffs and overlooking the Andes, the tour focuses on the first contacts between those explorers and natives, entering the Tehuelche world. Lakefront caves where thousands of years ago culture left its mark on the rock, leading us to find the interpretation. The tour culminates in another cave, with lunch or dinner. At 11 AM and 6 PM we start the pick up from the hotels.
First stop: Near the shore of Argentino Lake: Interpretation of flora and landscape. Explanation about glaciology and geology.
Second stop: Cliffs of Punta Bonita: Panoramic views of the lake and the Andes.
Third stop: Archaeological site: Rock Art
Lunch or dinner in cave. Return to El Calafate.
